Priestly Ordinations in Rome

In a decree dated March 19, 2024, the Prelate of Opus Dei has established the new Region of the United States and Canada.
Indulgences in Perpetuity
The Apostolic Penitentiary of the Holy See has communicated that the indulgences, which members of the Work and their relatives can gain on these dates, are granted in perpetuity. Until now, they were renewed every seven years.

40 Years Since the Apostolic Constitution "Ut Sit"
On 28 November 1982, Pope John Paul II erected Opus Dei as a personal prelature through the Apostolic Constitution "Ut sit," which was delivered to Blessed Alvaro del Portillo (the first Prelate of Opus Dei) on 19 March 1983.
Rosalía
Rosalía López was born on 5 February 1925, in Busnela (Burgos, Spain). She moved to Rome in 1946 to collaborate with St. Josemaría at the outset of Opus Dei. She did so through her work in the administration of the early centres of the Work. Her mortal remains now rest in the crypt of the prelatic church, Our Lady of Peace.
